PM Shmyhal invites India to become one of guarantors of Ukraine's security
"I met with India's External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. I thanked the government and the people of India for the humanitarian aid to our country. I dispelled the myths of Russian propaganda about the grain initiative and the Zaporizhzhia NPP," PM Shmyhal posted on Telegram.
Shmyhal stressed the need for joint efforts to extend security corridors for Ukrainian grain and demilitarize the ZNPP and thanked India for its willingness to stand up for these issues. He also pointed out the need to join forces to stop Russia's war against Ukraine.
"We will be happy to welcome India’s leadership to Ukraine," the Head of Government added.
As reported, on September 20, the 77th session of the UN General Assembly opens in New York. Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba heads the Ukrainian delegation.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska take part in the events on the session’s sidelines.
On September 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will speak at the high-level debate of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly via video link.
