Russian troops open fire on Nikopol district, Kryvyi Rih district with Grad MLRS

Last night Russian troops opened fire on the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol district and Kryvyi Rih district. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Head Valentyn Reznichenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Enemy shelling was recorded in the Nikopol district and Kryvyi Rih district six times. […] Russians struck four communities with the Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and heavy artillery,” Reznichenko wrote.

The city of Nikopol came under enemy fire three times. Over 40 Russian projectiles were fired. A 57-year-old woman was reported injured.

According to the regional authorities, 11 apartment blocks and detached houses were damaged in Nikopol, as well as a kindergarten, social service center, several enterprises, gas pipelines and power transmission lines.

Reznichenko noted four fires had broken out due to enemy shelling. Rescuers have already extinguished them.

In the Chervonohryhorivka community, three apartment blocks and a store were seriously damaged. Civilians remained unharmed.

In the Marhanets community and the Zelenodolsk community, no casualties were reported.

In the rest of the Dnipropetrovsk region’s districts, it was calm last night.
