Macron, Putin speak over phone

French President Emmanuel Macron had a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Sunday, September 11.

That’s according to the Kremlin press service, Ukrinform reports.

The Kremlin said the parties "expressed mutual readiness for non-politicized interaction regarding the situation around the ZNPP (Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant - ed.) with the IAEA involvement."

The presidents also discussed the "grain issue." In particular, Putin suggested destinations where Ukrainian grain should be supplied.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on September 10, President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders discussed the developments in the war zone and the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP.
