Portugal’s foreign minister arrives in Kyiv

On Wednesday, August 24, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal João Cravinho arrived in Kyiv on a working visit.
“Honoured to be in Kyiv on this day that celebrates the 31 anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, which Russia sought and failed to crush. I bring a message of solidarity, and of political, military, financial and humanitarian support,” Cravinho posted on Twitter.
On August 23, Minister of Defense of Portugal Helena Carreiras said at the 2nd Crimea Platform Summit that Russia’s further attempts to annex Ukrainian territories must be repelled quickly.
