President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed with President of Poland Andrzej Duda the entire range of bilateral issues, including security and defense support for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president stated this at a joint press conference with the Polish leader in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today, we held fruitful talks with Mr. President, discussed the entire range of issues of our bilateral relations, joint protection of the freedoms of our peoples, Europe in general. Of course, we talked about defense, about security, about assistance, about shelter for Ukrainians, our children in Poland," Zelensky said.

He emphasized that the parties discussed important issues of Ukraine's security and Poland's assistance to Ukraine.

"There are many issues that we can talk about, issues that sometimes really need silence, where Poland helps us a lot. I am also grateful for this silence, but the most important thing is that our enemy later hears this silence," Zelensky stressed.

At the same time, when asked about Ukraine's needs for weapons, Zelensky said that now weapons are a priority for the Ukrainian side and the Polish leader has all the necessary information regarding this.

"Everything we need now, everything is available in details to the President of Poland. And we are very grateful for the volume the Polish side has provided to us, and it really helps us a lot," the head of state noted.

Zelensky thanked Duda and his wife, the Polish government and Polish society, which "treat Ukraine warmly, in a brotherly manner."

He also emphasized that it is very important that friends be together on such symbolic days for Ukraine as Flag Day and Independence Day.

As reported by Ukrinform, Polish President Andrzej Duda is paying a visit to Ukraine on Tuesday, August 23.
