The relevant statement was made by President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Just arrived in Kyiv. On this special day, as Ukraine celebrates the Day of Statehood for the first time, will address Ukrainian people at the Verkhovna Rada,” Nausėda wrote.
Nausėda will also meet President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and present him with Lithuania’s highest state award, the Order of Vytautas the Great.
A reminder that Day of Ukrainian Statehood was introduced by the Decree of the President of Ukraine, dated August 24, 2021. Ukraine is marking Statehood Day for the first time on July 28, 2022.
