The EU Strategic Communications Working Group has corrected the text of a recent tweet by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, which claims that NATO will allegedly provide Moldova with weapons that would violate its neutral status.

The fixed text of the Russian MFA’s tweet was published on the EU East Stratcom Task Force, as reported by Ukrinform.

"MFA Russia, we fixed that for you," the tweet said. The sentence from the tweet of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which says that "the supply of NATO weapons to this country (Moldova - ed.) is undermining its neutral status and will hardly help strengthen its security," was corrected to the following: "The supply of non-lethal equipment to this country (Moldova - ed.) is in line with its neutral status and will help strengthen its security."

It is also noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry wrote "Council of Europe" instead of "Council of the European Union."

The EU is committed to supporting Moldova's stability and protecting its population, the EU working group added to the tweet.

Currently, the initial tweet by MFA Russia is not on their timeline.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC of Ukraine has published its latest review of fake news s spread by Russian propaganda on July 8.
