President Zelensky meets with U.S. Senators

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I am pleased to meet the U.S. Senators, Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. The two-house and two-party support is very important to us. We feel and appreciate this unity. Now the primary objective is to ensure that women with children can come back home, and schoolchildren and students can go to school and university before September 1, 2022. We count on the support of the Congress in terms of the supply of modern air defense systems. We must ensure such a level of sky security that our people are not afraid to live in Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russia started a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

On July 7, 2022, the U.S. Senators, Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, paid a visit to Bucha, Kyiv Region.
