President of Indonesia visits Irpin destroyed by Russian troops

President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo has visited the city of Irpin to see the damage caused by Russian troops.

The relevant statement was made by President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Irpin Lypky apartment complex in the war-torn Ukrainian city of Irpin is behind me. Together with Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Hryhorovych Markushyn, I personally saw the damage caused to houses and infrastructure as a result of the war,” Widodo wrote, posting a photograph.

The President of Indonesia also expressed hope that the war could be stopped in the near future.

A reminder that President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo arrived in Kyiv in the morning of June 29, 2022. As part of the visit, he will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. On June 30, 2022, the President of Indonesia will also visit Moscow to meet Putin.
