Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi spoke with Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley to discuss the situation on the frontline and progress in international technical assistance to the country’s defense forces.

That’s according to Zaluzhnyi’s Facebook post, seen by Ukrinform.

“With pleasure and deep respect, I maintain continuous communication with General Mark A. MILLEY, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Today during a telephone conversation, we discussed the operational situation and the delivery flow of international technical assistance to the Defence Forces of Ukraine. I have empathized the necessity to attain fire parity with the enemy, which will allow us to stabilize the situation in the most threatening Luhansk direction,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
