Ukraine always ready for talks if they don’t touch upon "red lines" - Stefanchuk

Ukrinform
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, says Ukraine will never cross the three red lines in any negotiations.

The statement came during Stefanchuk’s meeting with deputies of the House of Representatives of the General States of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in The Hague, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"There are three red lines through which Ukraine will never step over in any negotiations – the issue of Ukrainian independence, the issue of Ukrainian sovereignty, and the issue of Ukrainian territorial integrity. These three issues must be the subject of any negotiations. In addition, I would like to emphasize that with each such Mariupol, Bucha, or Irpin, the corridor for negotiations is becoming narrower," the Parliament Speaker said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 9-10, Ruslan Stefanchuk is scheduled to hold meetings with the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the General States of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as deputies of both houses of the Dutch Parliament.

The European Parliament has recommended that the European Union grant Ukraine candidate status. MEPs also expressed their position on weapons for Ukraine and the UN special tribunal.
