Ukraine introduces sanctions against 236 Russian higher educational institutions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree, introducing sanctions against 261 heads of Russian higher educational institutions, as well as suspending cultural exchanges, scientific cooperation, educational and sports contacts, entertainment programs with 236 Russian higher educational institutions.

Relevant decree No. 401/2022, published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine, will implement the decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) of June 9, 2022 ‘On the Application of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)’.

Sanctions are introduced indefinitely.

A reminder that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also signed Decree No. 400/2022 on the implementation of the decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) of June 9, 2022 to impose sanctions on a number of Russian high-rank officials, including Russian President Vladimir Putin.
