Polish President Andrzej Duda is the first head of the state to address the Ukrainian parliament since the Russian invasion started.

“In his speech, the President will certainly refer to the Polish-Ukrainian history but, first of all, he will pay tribute to those who are defending Ukraine, defending Europe,” Head of the International Policy Bureau at Poland’s Presidential Chancellery Jakub Kumoch told in a commentary to PAP.

Today, Polish President Andrzej Duda will also meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The delegations of the two countries will hold talks.

A reminder that last time Polish President Andrzej Duda paid a visit to Ukraine in mid-April 2022. Together with the Presidents of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, he visited such settlements as Bucha, Irpin and Borodianka, which were liberated from Russian invaders.
