Zelensky, Scholz discuss defensive aid, energy, sanctions against Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have discussed defense support for Ukraine, cooperation in the energy sector and the strengthening of sanctions against Russia.

The Ukrainian leader reported this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Held regular talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Talked about defensive aid, cooperation in the energy sector, increasing sanctions on the Russian aggressor. We appreciate the high level of dialogue with Germany and support in our struggle!" Zelensky wrote.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said in Kyiv on May 10 that Germany would start teaching 40 Ukrainian military to operate Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers.
