Shmyhal, Morawiecki sign memo on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities

Ukrinform
Ukraine and Poland have signed a Memorandum on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Poland will help Ukraine strengthen its defense capabilities. A memorandum was signed today with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki," Shmyhal wrote.

The head of the Ukrainian government thanked Poland for all the support, including weapons.

In addition, Shmyhal noted that Russia's blockade of Ukrainian seaports could lead to a global food crisis and suggested creating "green corridors" at the common border for grain exports.

Among the main issues of the meeting between Morawiecki and Shmyhal was also the strengthening of sanctions against Russia and the seizure of frozen Russian assets. Shmyhal believes that in the future this should become a new model of global security, so that the aggressor knows that all their assets will be confiscated and transferred to the affected nation.

As reported, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is on a working visit to Warsaw, where an international donors' conference in support of Ukraine is being held.
