Zelensky, Johnson discuss situation on battlefield and Mariupol

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson have discussed the situation on the battlefield and in the besieged city of Mariupol.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I keep in touch with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Spoke about the situation on the battlefield and in the blocked Mariupol. Discussed defensive support for Ukraine and the necessary diplomatic efforts to achieve peace,” Zelensky wrote.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching air and missile strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
