Consultations on Ukraine's security guarantees with potential guarantors could be completed within a week.

Mykhailo Podoliak, a member of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks with the Russian Federation and adviser to the head of the President's Office, made the statement on the air of the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"As for potential security guarantors, today at the level of political advisers under the leadership of (Head of the President’s Office Andriy - ed.) Yermak, consultations are underway with countries that have publicly stated that they agree to discuss the guarantees they can undertake. Of course, there will be different package guarantees. What’s important for us is arms supplies, a no-fly zone, military consultations, and money that will be needed to quickly purchase additional weapons. All this is being discussed at the level of advisers. I think these consultations can be completed within a week at the most," he said.

Podoliak has stressed that Ukraine seeks to obtain such security guarantees so that in the event of re-escalation, the partners stand with Ukraine on the issue of protecting the country.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that representatives of seven nations – the United States, Great Britain, Turkey, Poland, Germany, France, and Israel - expressed readiness to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.
