Kuleba: NATO's eastern flank has clear understanding of possible attack by Russia

NATO's eastern flank has a clear understanding of the possibility of Russia’s attack on the Allies, but the farther the countries are located from the eastern flank, the lesser they believe in that.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this on the air of the nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

In particular, Ukraine’s top diplomat noted that he and President Volodymyr Zelensky informed the partners that Ukraine had been fighting not only for itself but also to prevent the war from coming directly to NATO countries.

"On the eastern flank, there is a clear understanding and acknowledgment of this interpretation of events, but the farther countries are located from NATO's eastern front, the lesser they believe that Russia can attack them," he said.

"As a foreign minister of one of the Western European countries told me, ‘You know, we have never been at war with Russia and therefore we do not even imagine that it is possible’," Kuleba said.
