Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba calls on partners to impose more sanctions on Russia to stop Russian president Vladimir Putin from further aggression.

“To stop Putin from further aggression, we call on partners to impose more sanctions on Russia now. First decisive steps were taken yesterday, and we are grateful for them. Now the pressure needs to step up to stop Putin. Hit his economy and cronies. Hit more. Hit hard. Hit now,” Kuleba posted on Twitter.

On February 21, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced the recognition of the independence of the “L/DPR” puppet entities and signed the relevant decrees.

On February 22, at an emergency press conference at the Kremlin, Putin said that Russia recognized the "DPR" and the "LPR" within Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
