Zelensky congratulates Ukrainians on Day of Unity: Only together we can protect our home

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of Unity and stressed that "our home is Ukraine" and it can be protected only when everyone gets united.

He noted this at the beginning of a special telethon dedicated to the Day of Unity, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Today is an important day - a day of unity of all of us. We are different! We are of different ages, different genders, from different cities, regions, different professions, different talents, different knowledge, languages, religions, but we are united by one desire -- the desire to live, live in peace, to live happily, as one family, with children, with parents," Zelensky said.

He stressed that "we have every right to do all this, because we are at home, in Ukraine."

"And no one will love our home as much as we do, and only together we can protect our home. Congratulations on the Day of Unity, blue-yellows! Congratulations on the Day of Unity, Ukraine! East, west, south, north -- it sounds only together, but it sounds strong," Zelensky said.

Zelensky on February 14 signed a decree declaring February 16 the Day of Unity in Ukraine.
