President's Office says course for EU, NATO remains priority for Ukraine

Ukraine's course foe joining the EU and NATO remains a priority for the country, Ukrainian presidential press secretary Serhiy Nykyforov has told Ukrinform.

"Mr. Ambassador [Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko] used the word 'flexibility.' I think it is worth giving him the opportunity to explain what he meant before drawing any conclusions, especially loud ones. Whatever the explanation, the North Atlantic and European course remains an unconditional priority for our country. This course is not only enshrined in the Constitution, but there is the full consent of the government and society regarding this course," he said.

Prystaiko in an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live suggested that Ukraine may refuse to join NATO if circumstances so require.
