Ukraine, Turkey sign eight bilateral documents

Ukraine and Turkey have signed eight intergovernmental documents.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey at the Mariinsky Palace in Kyiv on Thursday, February 3, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Among the concluded documents is a free trade agreement signed by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Mus.

In addition, the two countries' ministers signed agreements on cooperation in the field of youth policy, taxation, as well as memorandums of understanding in the field of standardization and quality, customs.

The framework agreement on cooperation in the field of high technologies, aviation and space and the intergovernmental protocol introducing amendments to the agreement on cooperation in law enforcement were also signed.

In addition, Ukraine and Turkey signed an action plan on the mutual recognition of programs of authorized economic operators.

Erdogan is on an official visit to Ukraine on February 3.
