Ukraine stands in solidarity with Poland and Lithuania in their assessment of the migration crisis on the EU's border with Belarus and is strengthening its own frontiers to avoid a similar scenario, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

He said this at a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"An important topic of our talks was the ongoing migration crisis on the borders of the EU and Belarus. In its assessments, we stand in solidarity with our Polish and Lithuanian partners. To ensure the failure of any attempts to repeat the same scenario in Ukraine, we are actively strengthening our own border," Zelensky said.

At the same time, he stressed that coordination of joint efforts and exchange of experience is important in this matter.

The presidents of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania on Monday participated in the Lublin Triangle summit at the Syniohora residence in the village of Huta, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The Lublin Triangle was formed in July 2020 by the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, who signed a joint declaration on the establishment of a new regional alliance. Among the priorities of the format are strengthening the region, strengthening security, Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO, the development of economic cooperation, and joint counteraction to hybrid threats.
