Riabikin appointed Ukraine's minister for strategic industries

The Verkhovna Rada has appointed Pavlo Riabikin as Ukraine's minister for strategic industries.

Some 237 MPs voted for a respective decision at a plenary meeting of parliament on Thursday, November 4, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

On November 3, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Oleh Urusky as Ukraine's deputy prime minister and minister for strategic industries.

On the same day, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal tabled a motion in parliament on Riabikin's appointment to the post of minister for strategic industries.

Riabikin has headed the State Customs Service of Ukraine since November 2020.
