Parliament sacks Deputy Prime Minister Reznikov

The Verkhovna Rada has dismissed Oleksiy Reznikov as Ukraine's deputy prime minister and minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, some 329 MPs voted for a respective decision at a plenary meeting on Wednesday, November 3.

Reznikov offered his resignation on November 1. On the same day, members of the Servant of the People faction decided to delegate Iryna Vereshchuk for this position. They also supported President Volodymyr Zelensky's decision to nominate Reznikov for the post of Ukraine's defense minister.

The parliament plans to appoint Reznikov as minister of defense and Vereshchuk as deputy prime minister, minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories at a November 4 meeting.
