Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Joe Biden will meet on August 31, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said.

He said this during an online briefing on Thursday, August 19, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Since the program of the visit has been expanded, the meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, President Biden and President Zelensky, will take place on August 31. We have agreed with the United States to postpone this date for one day," Kuleba said.

He said that this was due to the fact that the format of the presidents' meeting had been expanded and would now include not only a meeting between delegations but also a one-on-one meeting.

Kuleba said that this was one of the agreements reached during his visit to the United States together with Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.

Earlier reports said that Zelensky would visit the United States in late August at Biden's invitation.

Kuleba and Yermak visited Washington on August 4-5 as part of preparations for Zelensky's visit to the United States.
