The Crimean Platform summit on August 23, apart from the main meeting, will include four thematic panels on non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea, militarization of the Azov-Black Sea region, ways to reintegrate Crimea through human rights and sustainable development, and restoration of rights of Crimean Tatar people.

"Apart from the main meeting, four thematic panels with the participation of heads of delegations will be held at the summit to discuss the following steps: non-recognition of the attempted annexation of Crimea, militarization of the Azov-Black Sea region, ways to reintegrate Crimea through human rights and sustainable development, and restoration of rights of the Crimean Tatar people," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Image of Ukraine", presenting events dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Kuleba expressed hope that partners would continue to join the summit, noting that the declaration adopted at the summit would be open for signing.

"The summit will end, but the countries that for one reason or another could not take part in it, they will join the declaration, the principles and steps that it provides," said the minister.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 29 countries had already confirmed their participation in the Crimean Platform summit in Kyiv on August 23.

The Crimean Platform is a new consultative and coordination format initiated by Ukraine to step up the efficiency of international response to the occupation of Crimea, respond to growing security challenges, increase international pressure on Russia, prevent further human rights violations, protect victims of the occupation regime, and achieve the main goal: to de-occupy Crimea and return it to Ukraine.
