Ukrainian citizens have been allowed to enter Sweden from July 26, according to a statement posted on the website of the Swedish government.

"The Government decided on 22 July that residents of Ukraine will be exempt from the entry ban," the statement said.

The Swedish government added that the decision would take effect on July 26, 2021.

According to the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, foreign citizens who are exempt from the ban on entry to Sweden are required to present a negative COVID-19 test or a vaccination certificate (COVID certificate) when they enter the country.

Currently, Sweden only recognizes vaccination certificates issued in the EU/EEA countries or in Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, or the Vatican.

Entry into Sweden will be allowed for persons who received a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine more than 14 days prior to arrival.

The list of vaccines approved by Sweden includes Comirnaty (BioNtech Tozinameran), Spikevax (Moderna), Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca), Janssen, AstraZeneca/SKBio, Covishield (Serum Institute of India), BIBP/Sinopharm, and CoronaVac.

On July 15, the Council of the European Union added Ukraine to the list of countries for which coronavirus-related travel restrictions on non-essential travel into the EU should be lifted.
