Zelensky thanks Council of EU for approving aviation agreement with Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed gratitude to the Council of the EU for approving the Common Aviation Area Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Zelensky wrote about this on Twitter.
"I am grateful to the Council of the EU and the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU for approving the Common Aviation Area Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The agreement will allow our citizens to get cheaper tickets and expand the geography of travel. Its signing will be another step towards entering the single European space," the president said.
On June 28, the Council of the EU gave the go-ahead for the signing of three neighbourhood aviation agreements – with Ukraine, Armenia and Tunisia – as well as an air transport agreement with Qatar.
