Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova are ready for a new level in the process of association with the European Union.

"The three of us came today to demonstrate that Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova are mature enough for European aspirations and ready for a new level in the process of association which should lead the countries to the European prospects," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at a joint briefing with the foreign ministers of Moldova and Georgia and the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Kuleba noted that the ministers made it clear that the Eastern Partnership needed a new impetus for a new level.

"The forthcoming summit will be a turning point for the Eastern Partnership. We all are ready to work together with the European Union to make sure that this summit will bring tangible results and show the ambitions of European policy in the east," the Ukrainian minister stressed.

Kuleba also noted that he was especially grateful to Borrell for mentioning the principles of inclusivity and differentiation when it comes to further development of the Eastern Partnership.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the parties had long discussions on the principle of differentiation, and common ground with the EU was found.

"We, the three countries, have already achieved tangible results in European reforms and approaching European standards. We will definitely continue to follow this path. The Associated Trio format will help us be more effective in our efforts," the minister stressed.

On Thursday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, and Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova Aureliu Ciocoi make the first joint visit to the EU institutions in Brussels in the format of the Associated Trio.
