Zelensky, Zourabichvili discuss repatriation of citizens detained in Ukraine and Georgia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili have discussed the issue of repatriation of citizens, who are currently detained in Ukraine and Georgia.

Zelensky said this at a joint briefing with Zourabichvili in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We discussed the issue of repatriation of citizens of our countries, who are currently detained in Ukraine and Georgia. We hope that the legal proceedings on these cases will be completed and these people will return home soon,“ Zelensky said.

As Ukrinform reported, President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili is on an official visit to Ukraine on June 23. Apart from talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, she will also meet with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov.
