Ukraine withdraws from two more CIS agreements

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved bills on Ukraine's withdrawal from two more agreements within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Relevant draft laws "On withdrawal from the Agreement on the main areas of cooperation between the participating states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of consumer protection" (No.0085) and "On withdrawal from the Agreement on cooperation in legal protection and intellectual property protection and creation of the Interstate Council on Legal Protection and Protection of Intellectual Property "(No.0088) were approved at the parliament’s sitting on Tuesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

As reported, Ukraine announced a decision to quit the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2014.

In 2019, Ukraine completed the process of quitting the coordination bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
