The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on June 4, according to the press service of the head of state.
The agenda of the NSDC meeting contained eight issues. In particular, pursuant to the instruction of the head of state given during his working trip to Kherson region on April 27, members of the National Security and Defense Council considered issues of providing additional security at the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, as well as in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions.
In addition, the NSDC members agreed on the deployment of personnel for Ukraine's participation in the UN mission to stabilize the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“There is already a contingent there. Its staff will be slightly increased. The issue was adopted unanimously," NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said at a briefing.
