Ukraine Reform Conference to be held in Lithuania in July – Stefanchuk

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk has thanked the Lithuanian side for its readiness to hold the fourth Ukraine Reform Conference in Vilnius on July 7-8, 2021.

On May 12, Stefanchuk and a delegation led by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen.

"Ukraine and Lithuania are united by long-term friendship, active economic and cultural cooperation. Lithuania has always been and remains a reliable partner for our country. I thank the Lithuanian side for its constant support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders," Stefanchuk said.

According to him, even in the context of a pandemic, Ukraine and Lithuania continue to maintain an active dialogue and cooperation.

Stefanchuk noted that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to continue to maintain a high level of political dialogue with Lithuania. The politician thanked the Lithuanian side for its readiness to hold the fourth Ukraine Reform Conference in Vilnius on July 7-8, 2021.

"We hope that this will be one of the most important conferences, which will present the results of key reforms at the international level, outline priorities for the next year, and help attract investment to the Ukrainian economy," he stressed.

As Ukrinform reported, during a meeting with Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen on May 12, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmytro Razumkov said that the timely reaction of Ukraine's partners, including Lithuania, had helped stabilize the situation along Ukraine's border during the recent escalation.
