Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak is negative about the idea of "freezing" the conflict in the Russian-occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
He said this in an interview with LIGA.net, Ukrinform reports.
"Very bad. The example of Nagorno-Karabakh and other points shows that this is a time bomb," Yermak said when asked about his personal attitude to this scenario.
At the same time, he added that he did not rule out such a scenario, but would not like that to happen. "And we make every effort to ensure that this never happens," the head of the President’s Office assured.
Yermak also added that the peace process was an absolute priority for the president's team.
As Ukrinform reported, on April 2, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian army could repel anyone, but peace in eastern Ukraine would be achieved by diplomatic means.
