Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar took part in an online event of the British think tank The Henry Jackson Society and presented the Crimean platform.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"The participants discussed the challenges amid Russia's aggression and the temporary occupation of Ukrainian territories, ways to support Ukraine by foreign partners. During the discussion, special attention was paid to the issue of Russia's escalation of the security situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and in temporarily occupied Crimea," reads the report.

Bodnar noted that Russia concentrated a significant number of troops and equipment on Ukraine’s border, as well as increased its military presence in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The deputy minister thanked the foreign partners, in particular the Government of the United Kingdom, for clear signals of support for Ukraine.

"Ukraine remains committed to a political and diplomatic settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict. At the same time, we will resolutely defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity in case of Russian invasion," Bodnar said.

Presenting the Crimean Platform, the Deputy Minister noted that it is a tool of the international component of the national strategy of de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea, which should be strengthened internally through the adoption of important legislative initiatives, implementation of social and economic development projects.

Bodnar also informed the participants about the main activities of the Crimean Platform: strengthening the international policy of non-recognition of the annexation attempt, maintaining and strengthening international sanctions against Russia, protection of human rights and freedoms, mitigation of other negative consequences of Russian occupation, including militarization of Crimea, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov for regional and global security and stability, including freedom of navigation, as well as economic and environmental threats.
