Ukraine and Turkey have ample opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

"Ankara is interested in a strong and independent Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. Cooperation between our countries has grown into large-scale cooperation. We discussed the results and prospects of our joint work at the 9th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council," Zelensky wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday, April 10.

He noted the prospects for bilateral cooperation, in particular, the trade turnover that has doubled and now stands at $5 billion, as well as the implementation of infrastructure projects in Ukraine.

"I consider the roads in Turkey to be one of the best in the world. Therefore, Turkey's experience adds speed and quality to the Ukrainian 'Large Construction' [program]. We invite you to invest in the development of airports. As a maritime country, Turkey can take part in the concession of Ukrainian ports," Zelensky said.

Zelensky also emphasized the good neighborliness of Ukraine and Turkey.

"It is good to have a reliable neighbor, even if our common border is the whole sea. Turkey is rapidly moving forward and motivates us to develop and use all opportunities for a comfortable life," he wrote.
