The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is ready for any scenario of conflict with the Russian Federation.

"It is difficult for me to say how the situation with the Russian Federation will develop because there are several scenarios, not one. We are ready for any scenario," Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on the air of Radio NV.

According to Danilov, Ukraine understands that it is not alone in confronting the aggressor.

"We need to understand that we are not alone, we have partners, and we are constantly communicating with them, keeping our finger on the pulse. We have a clear understanding of what is happening in Europe, in the European Union, who is really our partner and who is just pretending to be our partner. There are those who pander to the Russian Federation," Danilov stressed.

In February 2014, Russia launched armed aggression against Ukraine, capturing part of its territory – Crimea. Subsequently, Russian regular troops and Russian-led militants occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

The European Union, the United States and other countries imposed sanctions on Russia over its aggression against Ukraine.
