ARMA to cooperate with Lithuania on combating crime

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) in the list of competent bodies involved in the implementation of the agreement between Ukraine and Lithuania on combating crime and international terrorism.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, the decision was approved at the Government’s meeting on March 24.

According to an explanatory note, the agreement on cooperation with Lithuania on combating crime and international terrorism was concluded in 2007. The list of competent bodies that ensure its implementation includes the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the State Tax Service, and the National Police.

As reported, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) transferred UAH 15.7 million to the state budget in 2020. The size of the agency's deposit portfolio in 2020 amounted to UAH 540 million with the accruals of UAH 53 million.

As of 2020, 2,888 entries were made in the register of seized assets.
