President's Office hopes that shelling in Donbas will not critically affect negotiation process
Ukrainian presidential spokesperson Iuliia Mendel said this on the air of a TV show on the Dom TV channel on Sunday evening, Ukrinform reports.
“We understand that, unfortunately, the number of attacks has increased. There are a number of political and economic reasons for this. But in general, we hope this will not critically affect the negotiation process on a global and comprehensive ceasefire," Mendel said.
According to her, there are opportunities for further maintaining the truce and they will be used.
At the same time, she noted that Volodymyr Zelensky had already visited Donbas 20 times in less than two years of his presidency.
"The strong is not the one who can fight, the strong is the one who can stop the horrors of war. Therefore, Ukraine chooses the form of dialogue," Mendel emphasized.
As reported, the Dom TV channel launched a new series of programs called Bankova’s View Point, in which the protagonists are the stakeholders associated with the President's Office and which is broadcast on Sundays.
On March 15, a pilot episode of the program was released with the participation of presidential spokesperson Iuliia Mendel.
