Croatia’s honorary consulate opens in Ivano-Frankivsk
"On February 18, on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Croatia, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin took part in the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Croatia in Ivano-Frankivsk," the report reads.
The event was also attended by Head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Andriy Boychuk, Ambassador of Croatia to Ukraine Anica Djamić, and representatives of local authorities.
"Croatia has always strongly supported and supports Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, condemns Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and helps restore the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state. We highly appreciate it," Yenin said in his speech.
According to the deputy minister, the Honorary Consulate of Croatia in Ivano-Frankivsk will contribute to the deepening of mutually beneficial relations between Ukraine and Croatia in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, culture, education and science.
The diplomat expressed confidence that thanks to the active work of Honorary Consul Vitaliy Zapukhliak, Ukraine and Croatia will be able to increase bilateral trade and attract new investments.
As a reminder, in addition to Ivano-Frankivsk, Croatia also has an honorary consulate in Sviatohirsk, where it was temporarily transferred from Donetsk.
For nine months of 2020, the volume of bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and Croatia was USD 61.4 million. Exports amounted to USD 21.3 million, and imports – USD 40 million.
