Zelensky enacts NSDC decision on sanctions
According to Ukrinform, a decree to that effect, No. 29/2021, has been published on the website of the President's Office.
"To enact the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decision of January 28, 2021 'On the introduction of amendments to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decision of December 14, 2020, enacted by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 564-27t of December 14, 2020'," the report reads.
The sanctions list has not been published. One of the NSDC decisions is classified.
Control over the implementation of the NSDC decision was entrusted to NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov.
The NSDC decision states, in particular, that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry must inform the competent authorities of the European Union, the United States and other states about the imposition of sanctions and raise the issue of them imposing similar restrictive measures.
As was reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers will propose that the National Security and Defense Council impose three-year sanctions against legal entities that violate the procedure for using Ukraine's airspace by flying within the restricted zone over the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.
