Szijjártó: It makes no sense to talk about Hungarian separatism in Zakarpattia
"We regard the Hungarians of Zakarpattia region as an opportunity to unite with you. We believe that when we support the community of Hungarians in Zakarpattia region, we support in this way and help relations between Ukraine and Hungary," Szijjártó said during a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Hungary’s minister also expressed hope that today's meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart will bring results and they will manage to "stop the deterioration of our relations and channel this process into a good direction."
"We have always supported your integration and your sovereignty, and therefore all the allegations of separatism do not make sense," Szijjártó said.
As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó makes a working visit to Ukraine on January 27 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.
