Zelensky presents state awards to State Guard Department servicemen

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has presented state awards to servicemen of the State Guard Department of Ukraine and conferred the rank of brigadier general on Deputy Chiefs of the State Guard Department Taras Hrebennikov and Ihor Pyskun.
Respective decrees have been published on the website of the head of state.
According to decree No. 4/2021, eight servicemen of the State Guard Department were awarded the Order of Danylo Halytsky and the medals "For Impeccable Service" and "Defender of the Fatherland" for their significant personal contribution to ensuring the security of public authorities and officials, exemplary performance of military duty and high professionalism.
The president also conferred the military rank of brigadier general on Hrebennikov (decree No. 5/2021) and Pyskun (decree No. 6/2021).
January 15 marks the Day of the State Guard Department of Ukraine, which was established in 1992.
