British ambassador, Ukroboronprom director general discuss prospects for defense cooperation

British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons met with Director General of the State Concern Ukroboronprom Yuriy Husev to discuss the reform of Ukroboronprom and new prospects for cooperation in the defense industry.
"Ambassador Melinda Simmons met with Ukroboronprom Director General Yuriy Husev. They discussed the reform of Ukroboronprom and support and expertise international partners can provide, as well as new prospects for cooperation in the defense industry opened by the UK-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Agreement," the British Embassy in Ukraine posted on Twitter.
In addition, the parties talked about the need to tackle ecological impact of defense industry during its modernization, as well as vision for a workforce representative of society, engendering inclusivity and maximizing its talent.
As reported, on December 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Yuriy Husev as director general of the State Concern Ukroboronprom.
