Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at a special session of the UN General Assembly on Friday, December 4, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Together we will get through this serious economic crisis,” Kuleba said.
He stressed that Ukraine cannot and will not stand aside. “We are ready to make our contribution to ensuring, in particular, global food security,” the minister stressed.
In addition, according to him, Ukraine is ready to continue to cooperate in scientific and research areas in order to "achieve rapid results in the development of effective drugs to treat the coronavirus disease and of vaccines against COVID-19."
At the same time, the minister stressed that Ukraine has certain developments in the field of innovative digital solutions to combat the spread of the virus and organize work during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is ready to share its experience.
“We all need to get out of the current crisis and become stronger and better prepared,” Kuleba stressed.
As Ukrinform reported, a two-day special session of the United Nations General Assembly on the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic began in New York on December 3. The online session was attended by representatives of international organizations, as well as leaders from more than 150 countries.
