All corruption schemes in Ukroboronprom must be eliminated - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized the importance of completing the reform of Ukraine's state defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom and optimizing the work of defense industry enterprises, the presidential press service has reported, following Yuriy Husev's appointment as director general of Ukroboronprom.
"The Ukrainian army must receive new modern types of weapons. All corruption schemes that have existed in Ukroboronprom for years must be eliminated," the president said.
Zelensky noted that Husev had proved to be an effective leader as head of Kherson Regional State Administration. In particular, the road and tourist infrastructure in the region was actively developed, and two entry and exit checkpoints on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea were modernized.
The head of state expressed hope that Husev would demonstrate no less effective work as head of Ukroboronprom.
