Ukraine to open second European integration office in Dnipro

Ukraine will open its second regional European integration office in the city of Dnipro on November 30.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna stated this during the online discussion “New local self-government: an ambitious agenda for cooperation with the EU ".

“We have started to create regional European integration offices in the regions that are ready to promote the values ​​of European integration and increase the capacity to work with EU partners. Such office has already been established in Kherson. On Monday [November 30], we will open the second office in the city of Dnipro," Stefanishyna said.

She added that European integration offices would be also established in Poltava and Khmelnytskyi regions.  The government of Luhansk region also announced they would like to have such an office.

"We are very focused on developing this initiative and work only with those regions that have really shown a desire and willingness to join this initiative. We hope that the positive experience of these regions will allow us to effectively develop this institution in other regions as well,” the deputy prime minister said.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine opened its first regional European integration office in the city of Kherson city on October 15.
