Zhovkva discusses prospects for cooperation with Emirates Defence Industries Company

Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Ihor Zhovkva met with President of the Missiles and Weapons Department at the Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDGE) Hamad Al Marar to discuss ways to intensify bilateral military-technical cooperation.
According to the press service of the President’s Office, Zhovkva noted the importance of establishing and maintaining effective contacts between Ukrainian and Emirati companies in the military-industrial complex. This was agreed during a phone call between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Mohammed Al Nahyan on April 13 this year.
For his part, Hamad Al Marar confirmed the interest of representatives of the UAE defense companies in signing new contracts with their Ukrainian counterparts. In his opinion, this direction is strategic for bilateral relations, and Ukraine is one of the UAE's key partners in this area.
