World Bank to allocate $100 M to restore economy of government-controlled Donbas

The World Bank will allocate $100 million for the restoration of the economy of the contact line territories in eastern Ukraine.

“Ukraine will receive from the World Bank $100 million to restore the economies of the contact line territories,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky posted on Twitter.

The President thanked World Bank Group President David Malpass and World Bank’s Regional Country Director for Eastern Europe Arup Banerji for supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

“Wе will do our best to make citizens feel safe and regions to become prosperous and develop,” Zelensky assured.
